The new HPA-SS/Relay One is designed to work in conjunction with the HPA-Power One R4 and MCU R1 AC mains power controller for best results.

Normal mechanical relays over time wear out and can cause distortion in the audio signal and compared to a solid state relay are slow to react to change.

The new HPA-SS/Relay One boards solve all of these issues. The turn on resistance is typically only a few milliohms, It does not and will not add any measurable distortion to the audio signal. In practical terms it will never wear out. It is completely silent in operation and when used with the HPA- Power One controller provide very fast and smooth loudspeaker protection and silent turn on and turn off of the amplifier output to the loudspeaker, with no added noise or distortion or coloration of sound quality.

The HPA-SS/Relay One is also very powerful capable of handling many 10s of amps with the use of 120 amps peak power mosfets at voltages up to 150V AC to do all the switching.

The HPA-SS/Relay One are sold in pairs (Binding Posts not included) and are easily bolted or directly soldered onto almost any loudspeaker binding post using the standard 19mm pitch between posts.
