Holton DC Blocker One (Updated Model)
Holton DC Blocker One AC Mains Conditioner.
(New Updated Model)If your amplifier has ever suffered from a noisy buzzing power transformer that seems to come and go depending on the time of day.
Your sound system is most likely suffering from DC on the AC mains.
DC on the mains is generated from a lot of modern appliances like air conditioners, laser printers, switchmode power supplies etc.
its causes clipping of the AC mains waveform and this generates direct current to be formed which is piggy backed on the AC mains.
The result is it saturates power transformers primary winding creating a very loud acoustic buzz which can more often than not be heard across your listening room.
It also robs the power transformer of power and dynamics, which in turn rob the amplifier of sound quality.
The Holton DC blocker is a very high power AC mains conditioner which not only removes the DC from the mains but also filters high frequency noise from the mains as well. All this without the loss of Dynamics or Bass response in the sound stage.
The Holton DC blocker is capable of power devices as high as 2400 watts from your standard Australian GPO without any drop off in power delivery.
The DC blocker also comes with high quality AC volt and AC current meters so you can see exactly what is happening with what you are powering.
The result of using the Holton DC Blocker is restored dynamics and resolution in your sound system and no noisey power transformers.
The Holton DC Blocker One is designed to power your entire sound system not just your power amplifier. The best place to wire in the Holton DC Blocker One is between your household AC Mains GPO and your multi outlet power board.
The Holton DC Blocker One can be supplied with UK BS1363 13 Amp 230VAC Mains Outlet or USA 2143 15 Amp 125VAC AC Mains Outlet and EU Schuko 16 amp outlet upon request.
Testimonials from Holton DC Blocker One Customer's
I auditioned the Holton DC blocker in my system today. I was doubtful that it would bring much to the table as my system was already powered by a separate mains power line and I really believed my power quality was clean. At first listen the difference was subtle but when I removed it and had a listen again it seemed like everything was less precise the sonic image sounded significantly smeared like someone putting vaseline cream on your lens. I put the DC blocker back again and it seemed like I could hear deeper into the recording, bass notes were more precise, there was a greater sense of space and ambience in the recording. I don't believe the DC blocker just solves a hum problem, it will probably help improve your entire system's performance. I just placed an order with Anthony. Highly recommend you try it in your system

I just wanted to let you know the DC blocker you sent me is fully effective in removing transformer hum and has had a profound benefit to the quality of sound in my system!
The noise floor is lower, I’m hearing so much more information that it makes the music breathe more easily. I really believe that this (dirt cheap, in comparison to my other components) unit has allowed everything else to perform optimally.
What a great product!

I decided to plug my new DC filter in and put my video system on it to break it in. At first the TV picture was overly bright and a bit harsh but over a few hours it is looking more natural. The filter is intended for my audio system but I am ABSOLUTELY DUMBFOUNDED- the filter is 2 rooms away from my audio system (which is on its own dedicated circuit) and it has had a profoundly positive effect on my audio quality!!! A greater effect than any other tweak I have used IN the system. Is this even POSSIBLE or have I lost my mind? The dynamics are way more intense, imaging is amazingly improved as is tonality. It was a bit on the brighter side . I had the filter on the glass shelf of the TV stand- I put some bubble wrap under it and went back into the audio room and darn- it's smoother and even more dynamic with a more neutral balance.
Thanks- Jeff, USA

"The dc blocker received and it works great. Now the isolation transformer does not hum or buzz anymore. it is dead silent. Thank you again for such a great product and your service."

Tom From Victoria, Australia initially bought the DC Blocker One as a try out in the hope to stop a very acoustically noisey power transformer in his Parasound Integrated amplifier. Well it turns out the Parasound has an actual fault and needed to be sent of for repair. Here is Tom's testimony in his own words.
"Well. I decided to put aside my initial disappointment concerning hum, took the Blocker back out from the shipping box and auditioned it as the independent component it is. I am happy to report back that I am indeed hearing increased dynamics and resolution - significant in fact. I selected a small section of a favourite Bill Evans track and compared my amp with and without the blocker quite a few times back and forth. It clearly is allowing for better sound from my system, incredibly so in fact. Better bass extension and greater separation between the individual instruments. Things sound less mashed together if that makes sense? I will be keeping it! Thank you. Tom, Victoria Australia"

"Frankly, I'm gobsmacked what a difference this unit has made to the clarity of my system. I'm sitting listening to very familiar material & I just keep shaking my head. Sure, I've played with a series of power treatments so far, and each have made some improvement, but nothing like this bit of kit. All of a sudden there is so much more 'air' to the sound & the soundstage is open, clear & precise. This is a real cracker ! " Graeme N, Victoria Australia

I have been using the Holton DC Blocker for about and it works great, there is no power drop-off as you said. My monoblocks are still as dynamic as they used to be except they no longer hum randomly :)
I have a question for you, I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but ever since I plugged the DC Blocker into my mains, my lights no longer flicker. They flickered for the past 5 years, all of them, LED or Halogen! But it no longer flickers and we're so happy. At first I thought it was a coincidence but my lights haven't flickered for a whole month, it can't be a coincidence!
