The New Holton Moving Coil and Moving Magnet RIAA pre-amplifier has been developed as a stand alone pre-amplifier with its own on board low noise DC power supply. It only requires the addition of a 5VA-20VA power transformer to power it.

Power the RIAA preamp from batteries is also possible.

It is also designed to work with the New Gain Block One preamp found else where on the Holton Audio web site.

The new RIAA preamp has dip switch selectable input impedance for moving coil and moving magnet cartridges as well as dip switch selectable gain setting for both types of cartridges.

The printed circuit board is made from high quality 2mm thick FR4 material with a thick 2 ounce copper foil, Gold immersion plated.

Completed the build. Used a cheap case from Jaycar, will upgrade in future. First wanted to test before spending more on the Italian case.

Was simple enough to build. Sounds great, even before proper burn-in. Detail, sound stage, bottom end. Fast and clean. Very happy so far.
