Overall architecture of the amp is that there are two completely separate power supplies in the smaller power supply enclosure that each power two nxv300 amp modules in the amplifier enclosure. The power is fed from the power supply to the amps by very heavy mains cable. I'm therefore bi-amping each speaker.The Amp has RCAs and XLRs. The small toggle between then XLRs and RCAs switches between them.The Amp also has 3 sets of speaker binding posts. The top set of binding posts is bi-amped for tweeters, and the bottom set for the woofers. I ordered two HPA-NXV300s to replace the output-stage in my old LC audio (DIY) amplifier.I use a Yamaha surround receiver as pre-amp, and the nxV300 drives two Dali Lector 8 speakers. The sound is extremely clear and the bass is in perfect balance to the rest of the sound picture. Even though there is no problem driving your next-door neighbor crazy with this amplifier.The build quality is really good, and mounting the modules was easy. All the speakers I am using I custom made using Scanspeak Relevator tweeters,Seas w22ex-001 8" midrange units and peerless 12" 803952 bass units.The pre-amp I made using Elliot sound project 88, which is a fine sounding pre-amp.When I first turned on and heard the amp I was very impressed with the clarity and 3D like effect of the vocals.At first I thought the bass was good, but was lacking a little, but after a good 6-7 hours of listening the amps really started to come through and everything was much better and the bass was superb, very tight and could be felt.I tried all sorts of music through the 6-7 hours listening from classical to prodigyand no matter what the CD's or volume I had no fatigue at all, I just wanted to keep on listening.I am very pleased with the amps from Anthony,and I will definitely be purchasing future...
