I decided to plug my new DC filter in and put my video system on it to break it in. At first the TV picture was overly bright and a bit harsh but over a few hours it is looking more natural. The filter is intended for my audio system but I am ABSOLUTELY DUMBFOUNDED- the filter is 2 rooms away from my audio system (which is on its own dedicated circuit) and it has had a profoundly positive effect on my audio quality!!! A greater effect than any other tweak I have used IN the system. Is this even POSSIBLE or have I lost my mind? The dynamics are way more intense, imaging is amazingly improved as is tonality. It was a bit on the brighter side . I had the filter on the glass shelf of the TV stand- I put some bubble wrap under it and went back into the audio room and darn- it's smoother and even more dynamic with a more neutral balance. I was not expecting this so how can it be a placebo effect?! Can this device "pull" DC from the overall house electric system? What COULD be going on?

"Well. I decided to put aside my initial disappointment concerning hum, took the Blocker back out from the shipping box and auditioned it as the independent component it is. I am happy to report back that I am indeed hearing increased dynamics and resolution - significant in fact. I selected a small section of a favourite Bill Evans track and compared my amp with and without the blocker quite a few times back and forth. It clearly is allowing for better sound from my system, incredibly so in fact. Better bass extension and greater separation between the individual instruments.
