The NXL500 is designed as a very high performance, high end audio amplifier in the Recording Studio's, Audiophile Amplifier's, Home Theatre and Sub-Woofer Amplifier's
The NXL500 R6 has XLR Balanced inputs as standard and it can be configured for RCA single ended input.
The performance of this amplifier is truly awesome and unlike a lot of amplifiers these days. The power ratings are continuously rated sine wave into a resistive load.
The update includes a completely fresh PCB layout and some interesting design changes.

This is my testimonial of my NXL500-R6 & one Microaudio SMPS Cobra-S2 +/-76V (Mundorf primaire and secondary options).
After the comparaison with my ridiculous TA2022-V4.0 on my Davis acoustics MV15 speakers, I compared my Holton amplifier on the hifi system of two friends.
The first one have a Purifi amplifier Eval 1 & one Hypex SMPS1200A400 on Davis acoustics Kristel speakers.
The second have a Purifi amplifiers Eval 2 & two Hypex SMPS1200A400 on Triangle Cello 40th speakers.
Directly with the Holton NXL500-R6, there is more kick, high bass and low mid. The sound have more body and weight !. In french, il y a plus de matière.
There is more definition, more vivacity, more nuances with the Holton in all frequencies. Voices have a very good texture and presence and are shivering.
Some instruments and voices notes are same a flash ! it's very violent and surprising.
After a long listening with the Holton, when we return on the Purifi, with this one the sound is little, is flat and Is plated to the speakers !
To research the same energy and dynamic we was having with the Holton, we pop-up the volume, but it's in vain. The Purifi Amplifier is flabby and electric !
On the Davis Kristel, you have the sensation the power is no limited ! It's realy amazing !
In a another testimonial of a NXL300, a guy says " The N Core 400 sounds like a clock radio compared to this ! This small sentense is the raison was I buying my Holton modules. And now for me, it's the end of the class D on my system.
